Thanks in advance
Wow, i found something...
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Mo...eNF6G-VSTA
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Mo...VENF6G-DVI

These boards are almost same, but ALiveNF6G-VSTA version has first generation phenom support.
Hey Teurastaja,

I have already split the ACPI modules for the donor BIOS, I'll have to see if I can recombine the modules for CPU support. If you could highlight the differences you see so I don't overlook them that would also help.

Hi,
I force flashed -VSTA bios, and everything looks similar as in the original bios, so now i should have phenom 1 support.
I tested almost everything and i confirmed that all devices are working with vsta bios too.

There are few differences:

ALiveNF6G-DVI
AM2
Max. memory 8GB
Lan RTL8211B
DDR2 800
----------------------
ALiveNF6G-VSTA
AM2+
Max. memory 16GB
Lan RTL8201CL
DDR2 1066
Hi

I just tested phenom 9500 on the board and it works after flashed ALiveNF6G-VSTA bios, but not posting with original bios.
Hey this is great news!

Please open up a new thread in the Confirmed mods section with the procedure you followed, picture of mobo, and download links etc., and then post back here if any tweaks need to be done to the new image.

Thanks,
TheWiz

that was just am2+ support we need am3 too Cool
Well if it supports Phenom I it should boot Phenom II and the AAM3 to some extent, then will update the microcode. Meanwhile start the confirmed thread and test a AM3 with the current flash.
If you compare this three mainboard, than you can see the differencies:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/photo/ALiveNF6G-VSTA(m).jpg

http://www.asrock.com/mb/photo/ALiveNF6G-GLAN(m).jpg

The difference between DVI and VSTA:
- power controller chip (this should be a bigger problem)
- lan chipset: RTL8211B - RTL8201CL (option pci rom changing can handle it)
- right to the cpu missing a chip on vsta
- 3+ diff on pcb
- Is the same the clock generator chipset?

(Did the lan work without changind the option rom in bios?)

The difference between VSTA and GLAN:
- lan chipset: RTL8201CL - RTL8211B (same as in DVI)
- audio codec: ALC888 - ALC662
- Is the same the clock generator chipset?
- the GLAN has officially AM3 support :-) http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=ALiveNF6G-GLAN

So, if DVI->VSTA works and VSTA is almost the same as GLAN, then you should try the GLAN bios :-)

(Will the audio codec work?)

The last known beta bios from Asrock support for DVI is L2.28.

I tested it with an X2 545 and it works (only fsb changing works for overlock, and cooler runs at maximum with this cpu and its oem pwm cooler).

The last known beta bios for VSTA is L2.26:

The last official bios for GLAN is 1.80:

I have two DVI board, if I will have some time I try to crossflash one of them to GLAN. I can test it only with X2 545 (3GHz) and an old X2 3800+ (2GHz)... but I know someone who has an x4 975 (3.6GHz)... If he helps maybe we can test it with a crossflashed board or beta bios...
i have this ALiveNF6G-DVI motherboard, but when i tried vsta bios update it shows me some kind of error!
will enyone help me solve this problem?

Hi everyone!
As you can see in subject I'm trying to start ASRock Aliven6g-dvi mobo with am2+ cpu.  On official ASRock website I can read that this mobo dont support am2+ cpus. However, I found this topic https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-A...upport-mod where Teurastaja started this mobo with some Phenom I x4. He just flashed bios from similar mobo (ASRock Aliven6g-vsta). I did the same thing. I used afudos to flash BIOS, because asrflash from official ASRock site wont flash bios from other motherboard. BIOS is working correctly but only with AM2 processor (Athlon 4200+), but  when I put AMD Athlon 7750, mobo wont to start. All fans spins with maximum speed and there was nothing on the screen.

I tried with other BIOSes, from glan version, beta version from vsta, and beta version from dvi, and I allways get the same thing.

I chceck the CPU on some weak Gigabyte mobo and it works, because I though I destroyed it, when I accidently drop it on the floor.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english.
