Hello everybody, I'm kind of a newbey in bios modding and I have a problem.

I have Asrock AliveSATA2-GLAN motherboard with amibios 2.6 and a AMD Athlon X2 LE-1640 CPU. My mother board didn't support this CPU with the 2.3 bios version. I've updated it to 2.6 and now my PC works but the bios displays AMD Processor model unknown and only one core is active.

Found a tutorial and tried updating the CPU Microcode. Downloaded a bios from a mobo that suports this CPU and using MMTool extracted the latest CPU patch from that bios and inserted it in to mine. Then flashed the bios with the modded bios file but nothing happend. The problem stil exists.

If anyone can help me please reply. Smile
Please post a download link to your bios (v2.6) and also a link to the board that you tried taking the support from and we will have a look

My exact CPU model is AMD Athlon 64 X2 Le-1640(ADH164B1AA4DP)

Thanks again for helping Smile
Thanks but this looks like its soomething to do with the 1B module in your bios containing an out of date AGESA library - not a microcode issue

We are still researching how to do these AMI AGESA Updates , please be patient , when we can do it we can come back to this
