Hi! Smile

Can you unlock hidden features (Overclock, C1E, Turbo Boost, EIST and other...) in this Packard Bell iXtreme M5800 BIOS (version P01_A3) ?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I think i have a system similar to yours, i'm no bios expert but i know a thing or two about pc's. I have downloaded amipcb v3.46 from this site (under downloads) and was able to open a bios file for my system.

I have opened yours too and you should be able to see turbo boost and eist. Allthough it says that with my bios too regarding turbo boost but i can't see it. My cpu is an i3 530 so it doesn't support turbo boost. I presume it doesn't show up in bios because my cpu doesn't support it. I can see eist however but that my cpu supports.

What kind of cpu and ram do you have maybe it just doesn't support it.
More info i can't give you i have posted a similar question on this forum also.

You can always try in the meantime to open the file yourself and see.

oh btw i have an ixtreme i6780be (i3-530 @ 2,93 ghz 4gb ddr3 ram)

I have seen the multiplier is hidden on your bios, fsb speed is not available so if the multiplier is locked on your cpu you can't overclock or you will have to change the cpu. I can't tell you what cpu's your system supports , i'm having trouble finding out myself for my system (and yours for that matter lol)

Anyway just pray and wait till an expert replies here lol. I'm in the same boat.
ok i have checked what cpu's your motherboard supports and they are the same as mine. It should support all i3 , i5 and i7 cpu's that are socket lga 1156. Could you confirm that this is correct , is one of these processors in there now?

I suppose you have an i3 cpu because you were asking about turbo-boost and it's the only cpu that doesn't have it.

Hi!

Thank you for your answers to my thread! My CPU is an Intel Core i5 650 @3,2GHz, but when I select "Multiplier: Turbo" in ThrootleStop it doesn't do anything! Also, it continuously change the frequency and the multiplier of the CPU! How can I disable this feature? So that always stays @3,2GHz or more....

BTW I want to unhide Overclock functions in the BIOS!

In don't think they're are any overclocking options in your bios, i can't see them in the bios editor anyway. There a option to change the multiplier but if it's locked on your cpu (and it probably is) then you can't overclock via the multiplier. There's nothing about changing the fsb.

If you want that the frequency of the cpu always stays the same you have to disable eist.

If you set turbo boost to enable it should turbo boost when an application/game asks for it.
