Hi
I'm looking for AMD Turion X2 microcode for AMI bios from ASUS A6M laptop. Accidentally I bought this CPU then found that REV. G is not supported. Laptop is starting up then stops with "unknown CPU revision. System halted." message on BIOS screen. I'd tried extract some microcodes from other bioses but I can't find AMI bios with this particular CPU support, anyone know, anyone seen? Maybe this is possible to use microcode from other bios vendors?
Regards
Having some trouble myself trying to find a laptop that contains support. What i will do tomorrow morning is to look at the current bios , see what microcode it has , then look at other laptop bioses that support the TL-60 and see if the microcodes vary.

Will get back to you soon Smile

Having the same issue as well. Tried extracting the microcodes from the Asus A6T BIOS, but all AMIMMWIN gives me is:

AMD CPU MicroCode Patch Data Information
==============================================

MicroCode NB HT I/O CPU NB HT I/O Date Size
NO ID Dev.ID Dev.ID Rev.ID Rev.ID Rev.ID YYYY/MM/DD (Hex.)
-- --------- -------- -------- ------ ------ ------ ---------- --------
01 00000000 0000FFFF 0000FFFF 0000 00 00 0000/00/00 00000800

0 Warning, 0 Error occurred.
Done.

There seems to be multiple versions of the A6M, where reportedly some support the Turion X2's:

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/AMD-Turion-64-X2...405/r.html

However, these versions use the same BIOS, so this does not make any sense.

The BIOS'es can be downloaded here:

This make sense
TMDTL56HAX5CT is rev.F2 and is supported, my CPU is TMDTL60HAX5DM , this is AMD Turion 64 X2 as well but rev. G2 and original BIOS does not support it (only rev.F is supported)
I tried replacing the old Sempron with TMDTL56HAX5CT, the one you are linking to. Didn't work.

It's working, CPU temperature dropped from 46 to 17-20 in idle mode, maybe you bought faulty CPU? Even if your is unsupported there should be bios message as I said in first post in this thread.
Thanks for noticing me!
I'll make some more checks. If I still can't get it to work I'll have it replaced.

Perhaps you can dump your BIOS as well? Might be worth trying to flash it as a last resort.
