Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hey guys,

This is a difficult problem so I dont know if you can suggest ideas.

I was on version 5.07/5.08 I cant remember which and updated to 5.16. This is where the problem began. The flash was successful but as with others running variants of this board, the CPU fan pulses every few seconds (incredibly irritating).

I have no backup of the original BIOS and it hasn't been posted either on HP's website or anywhere else for that matter.

I'm totally out of ideas and about to buy a new motherboard.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well unfortunately BIOS Upgrades are not designed to be reversible :S Have you tried using software like SpeedFan to manually adjust and set your system fan speeds?
