I want to run a ATI HD 6990m in the Barebone. The card with original-cooler/fan fits after some tinkering.
The problem is, than after while (<2min.) the NB start's beeping every second for approximately 1 min., then shuts down. While beeping the VGA-fan runs at full speed and the NB-LED's are flashing. --> That usually happen's when something is overheating. But there is nothing overheating! The VGA-temp. is around 40C.
CPU-temp 45C. With my NVIDIA GTX285m everything is fine.
The NB can start the OS, but the shutdown always happens, even when beeing in BIOS.
All available BIOS-versions don't solve the Problem.

So It think the only option is disabling the overheat-detection / shutdown in BIOS?
The Card is shown as "ATI VGA CARD" in BIOS.
Is nobody here who can help or has got any other ideas to get it work?
