Hello,
I found the old bios 1031H4 with the advance menu unlocked in this forum made by camiloml (btw: thank you very much!!).
But I would really be interested in the new R2048H4 bios version with the advance menu unlocked as Sony seems to have limited the Sata Ports to Sata II with the new bios and I would like to get my old Sata III speed back.
The original bios can be found here
Thanks in advance!
Please post screenshots of the original bios setup

Hi, I didn't post screenshots as they look exactly like the ones already present in the old thread. The person there posted those. Except for the version number of the Bios (R2048H4) everything looks exactly the same.

Many thanks in advance!

I wait your news.

Great work!!! It works brilliantly. Smile

Sadly there is no option for the Sata Port Speed Mode even in the advanced menu... so Sony must have hardcoded that setting into the firmware. Angry

Thanks for all your work!

Wait, wait wait.... no sata3!?!
So if you go on the intel rapid storage manager, click Manage, click the disk on port 0, and then click Advanced, the dropdown shows "SATA transfer rate: 3 Gb/s"?
wow sony, just wow.

Yes exactly. Since the 2081 and 2084 bios Sata port 0 is sadly limited to 3 GB/s.
Encourage sony's support to bring back full speed to your sata ports.
Hi all,

I have the first generation Vaio Sandy Bridge VPC SB 1C5E, and I have issues with my SSD OCZ Vertex 3. Do you know where I can find the bios which would bring back SATA 3 on my SATA ports?

Many Thanks for your help.

NB: my thread on OCZ forum:

Thanks for confirming,
