Not sure if this is the spot for this thread.
Anyhow i have a bit of a problem.
I have a Toshiba L500-13w and i was wandering if its possible to fix the bios to put on a T7700 processor.
The board works with it. The performance is good. The only thing that doesn't work is the cooling system. The laptop freezes and windows is always nagging about the cooling system. The bios doesn't recognize the processor but is compatible.
Can you guys help me with this?

Ty for your time and continue the good work.

Sorry about that.

Now with the bios file. Tongue
Hi,

I've just changed the processor in my laptop from a T5870 to a T7700 and it comes up with a message on bootup about cpu microcode not updated. The actual processor is recognised in bios and running windows fine, shows as 2.4ghz, and has given the intel VT option in the bios.

Here's some more info on the chipset.

Northbridge Intel GM45/GM47 rev. 07
Southbridge Intel 82801IM (ICH9-M) rev. 03

I'm running the latest bios, 2.10 and the link for it is here. Bios Direct Link

If anyone requires any more info, just let me know and i'll try and find it out.

Thanks

Hi!

I've recently installed a Core 2 Duo T7700 on my Toshiba Satellite L500-19x laptop, and when I turn it on I get a message about the microcode is not found for this CPU.

Please, can someone update my bios to support the new CPU?

Thanks. Heart

P.S:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7700

Bios type: Phoenix.

CPUID: I've attached a compressed file with all the info you should need, and the bios aswell.

Thanks a lot!. I tried the newer one and worked perfect. Can you tell me what software you have used, because I've been working 3 days on this bios and I almost gave up (It is my first mod, but I have some skills with Hex code and programming)
Hi guys, I succesfully upgraded a T7500 on my Toshiba L500. It works perfectly but, after the bios screen, it shows me the list of the installed hardware and at the end "FB No microcode update loaded for alternate processor"; I have to press F1 and Windows 8.1 starts properly. I hope you can help me. Rolleyes

- I've attached the installed Bios v 2.1 and the CPUID screenshot.
- CPU spec code: SLAF8

Hi~guy!
Using this modified bios to replace original bios file ,then to update your system.
I have injected micro code into it.

Remember to reply info after flashing bios.
Thanks.
Thanks for the reply. Thus Winphlash doesn't want to work I have to use Phlash16.exe with a bootable USB pendrive. I'm following the the thread "HOW TO FLASH MODIFIED OR ORIGINAL BIOS (PHOENIX)", can I use the file with .rom extension instead of .wph as in the guide?
Finally I renamed the bios file as "BIOS.WPH" and flashed with phlash16.exe; now all work like a charm! Very thanks! Smile
