Hello everyone, I have an old HP Compaq presario CQ56 with AMD Processor, I need it for my daughter, to get it ready for her, I upgraded the memory, SSD and when I installed the new wifi card I got a message that the card is not supported and it wouldn't start unless I remove the card. It needs a Bios that supports Intel 7260, I've been reading on this forum and looking for a bios and did find that other people have the same issue and actually some great guys here helped them resolve the issue.
I hope someone can help me, I'm willing to donate too.
current Bios, Insyde F.18 system board 1604 and the files from HP site is SP52913.exe

It seems that only mods for outdated versions remained available,
the feedback on which is not so encouraging. Although there were some good ones,
they cannot be found, and I'm not so sure my mod will be as successful.
But, anyway: DOWNLOAD
I will also ask BDMaster what he thinks about this.

I tried the the file you sent and it didn't work and I had to flash back to the original stock Bios, this is an old laptop and might not worth the effort, so I ordered a Nano size dual band USB WIFI adapter from Amazon for $15, I hope it works for the rest of this school year for my daughter.
