it worked! thank you very much for your help.
it works only with the Windows 7 drivers, not with the Intel. with the Intel drivers the screen becomes black.
now I have to take the laptop apart and install the third antenna.

the 6230 went into my carpc which is Intel D525MW and it works as a wifi card, not using the bluetooth part of it.

I have noticed that the restart feature won't work with the new card. I have to shut it down and then start it up again.
