Hi All ,

I thought about writing this thread as i see there are alot of problems for members with flashing their own original PHOENIX bioses or the Modified bioses in this section .
The process is very easy , just follow these steps :-

1 ) You`d better flash from dos using a bootable usb drive .......... you should have any bootable USB or floppy .
2 ) Download the HP tool which will make your floppy or USB bootable & the DOS98 files from this link :

3 ) Create the Bootable USB or FLOPPY using the tool with options in this pic :-

4 ) Copy the BIOS.WPH ( original or modified ) to the USB drive and copy the PHLASH16.EXE as well ( provided in the previous link with the HP tool ) .

5 ) Boot from the USB drive and write this command after it boots :-

PHLASH16 /S /X /FORCE
then press ENTER .

The bios will be flashed and don`t interrupt this process in any way as it will make your bios bricked .

Thank you
Ahmed, flashing Bios as I type.

Ok finished flashing and woah! loads more stuff and my beloved AHCI mode is there.

very impressed
Is it possible to put two different bios versions (original and modified) on one flash drive if there in seperate folders with all the required files (phlash16 and the bios)?

My DELL Inspiron 1564 Laptop. BIOS A13
