It worked with my y560 as well. I ordered a Intel 7260 Wireless Card to replace my Atheros AR9285 Unit. I wonder Sir Ahmed already included the disableing of whitelisted wireless cards in this bios as well, or i need to do something else to use my new wireless module. If I can get a reply about this issue i will be a happy guy.

I have seen there is a mod for the lenovo y560 Bios, but is there the whitelist wireless card mod includet?
I'm planing the same thing as cenk1cenk2 (maybe he has it already done) and would like to know, if that will work with this mod. =)

Any Bios Mod is done basing on a Bios Backup so using that for different laptop
it will create a CLONE loosing all DMI Data included win License !
So make a result file and upload It here an We will prepare a Bios Mod for You !

I was wondering if there is an option in the bios to disable 'Discrete GPU' & use the Intel HD graphics as the ATI GPU is dead.
the only option left is to replace motherboard.
I am talking about modding the bios to disable HD 5730 GPU device so that the laptop only have Intel HD. Its like y560 without external GPU.

Do anyone know how to disable ATI GPU to be fully off (not sink any current)? From motherboard schematic I can see that there is control line to turn off all power to ATI GPU and it's line from chipset so I assume it is possible from some bios hidden option but I can't see any such...

Need BIOS for IdeaPad Y560 (without p) to disable discrete GPU completely. Is it possible? I used the flash file in this topic - no such option in BIOS (ver 71). The only card that comes up in device manager is discrete GPU (AMD).
