Hi!

Thank you Camiloml, I installed the last sp55068 in my DV7-6135DX, so I could install a Intel Centrino 6235 with success (bluetooth and wifi works).

But I needed to tap the pin 20 in the 6235. Can I hope there is a way to on and off 6235 hardware key by dv7, without tap the pin 20? Is there a way?

Thanks.

Marcelo
Hi Camilo

Today I'm in trouble, my notebook HP DV7-6135DX doens't start, only with hard reset. After rebooting, or enter the setup, need to do the hard reset again. Only when I put the original bios sp55068 again it reboots normally.

Its worked the whole week, which may have occurred? Got some bios to tell me?

thank you

Marcelo

Moved to unlocked /mod

I second this confirmation. The 'light' patch mod did not work for my HP Pavilion dv6t and bricked it with only the LEDs coming on at reboot and the caps lock LED flashing. I then pulled the CMOS battery which reset it and gave the CMOS battery notification on reboot but allowed me to load windows after pressing ENTER. I then flashed the bios with the original SP55068 and after finding this thread I flashed with the 'harder' patch mod and it accepted my new Intel Centrino 6205 wifi card. Then, like the other gentleman, after i downloaded the driver it still would not respond in my attempts to turning the card on either by the wifi button on my keyboard or the fn + f5 combo or in the settings window. I then tried the tape idea and it worked beautifully.

*Note* make sure that your date and time is correct on your system after all the rebooting and CMOS battery removal because if it is not and you are trying to connect to an authentication server like I was it will deny you access. So check your date and time is my advice.

As chopkins said it would be nice to find a way to control the chip normally without the tape but hey it works for now.

Thank you so much camiloml!!

Hi Camiloml,

trying to get my WIFI module to work on my DV7-hp 6143cl I get Unsupported Wireless module detected(703)
I used modded bios - sp55068_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe installs fine but I get that error. White-listing check is not removed Camiloml can you please help me with this? the wifi card i'm using or want to use is BCM94312 (Dell DW 1397)
Any help would be great....have ML running on it and all I need is this to make everything work on this laptop
It looks like windows see's it but its saying its off....is there something I can do to get it to turn on?

Hi.
This mod doesn't work for WiFi+Bluetooth module with WiDi support (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230, model:2230BNHMW, fccIdTongueD92230BNH)
On boot, bios report: "Bluetooth modeule not supported. Remove and reboot"

But vHard mod works for combo WiFi+Bluetooth module (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 130, model:130BNHMW, fccIdTongueD9130BNH).

Please help with Intel 2230 module. I need support WiDi protocol on my notebook (dv7t-6100 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment (LM422AV)

PS. Sorry for my english.
Would it really be asking too much for a response? I installed your bios modded for the whitelist removal, and it worked, as there were no "unsupported card" error messages. It showed up, I installed latest driver, and it shows "not connected". I tried your taping of pin 20 suggestion, and it did not work. My new card is an Intel Centrino N-6300 a/b/g/n card with bluetooth. I would gladly donate to someone/anyone, that can actually get me working. I need help. PLEASE!!!!
Anyone?
