Hello,
Please remove the whitelist for this model:

- BIOS download (F11, latest version): http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54501-55000/sp54926.exe or http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...ob-99627-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4062&product=5169533&sw_lang=

- PCI ID of the Wifi/WWAN card that originally came with the laptop:
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1785103C&REV_01 (Atheros 9485)

I intend to replace it with a Broadcom BCM94312HMGB for the moment (I think the Atheros one is faulty, causing a lot of BSODs, seen it happen before on an Aspire One), and in the future with an Intel 6300.

If you need more info, let me know.

Thanks!
Flashed it, now the laptop starts up and the Caps Lock is flashing after a while and there is no booting sequence or image displayed on screen. I tried removing the CMOS battery, no change. Now I need to find that BIOS recovery from USB tutorial, I guess.
Can you try to build a new modified BIOS, maybe "there was a glitch in the Matrix"? Big Grin
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45117524/bios-mo...p54926.exe

Format USB pendrive in FAT or FAT32, label it HP_TOOLS and unpack this on top of it.

Plug it to the laptop and power it on.
Now the laptop boots again, but the Broadcom WLAN is still unsupported, as before. I've attached how the error screen look like here, maybe the error code will help.
Thanks again for all your hard work! Smile
I will redo the patch and we will try again. Now your bios is the original one that's why still shows the error Smile
Ok, take your time and thank you for your efforts! Smile

This one will do the trick, i think Smile
I'll try it out tomorrow, after I get the laptop replaced because it has a hardware issue. Thanks a lot, will get back with feedback! Smile
