Recovery set, and your bios files.

Format the smallest pendrive as FAT or FAt32, run the Hewlett-Packard.exe file and choose the root of the pendrive to place for unpack, then run your specific bios exe file and choose as place to unpack into the Hewlett-Packard folder overwritting the BIOS folder.

Look at the comments of the RAR auto extractors to be able to succesfully recover your lappy. Wink

New user here!

I downloaded the whitelisted sp55087 BIOS from the forum repository (/BIOS/Whitelists/sp55087_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe) and ran the Insyde executable, but it tells me "no match file in Multi-FD". I also found no .fd file, which I presume is the file that the BIOS itself is contained in.

Of course, I may just be acting stupid, so could someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

UPDATE:

Turns out I downloaded the wrong BIOS (sp55087) instead of the correcty sp55068. I also noticed that when I tried to change the BIOS settings with the modded version, the laptop would brick itself with flashing CAPS LOCK lights and failing to actually boot. To solve this, take out the back cover and you will see a circular thing next to the RAM - that is the CMOS. Disconnect all power, remove the CMOS, and wait for ~30 seconds. That will reset the BIOS. Remember to reinstall the official BIOS on the next boot or it will not work. From there you can get your modded version.
Hi All,

I have an HP 2000-329WM. By looking in this forum, it looks like others have asked for similar bioses in the past. Does anyone know if this bios has already had the whitelist removed? If not, is there a process for doing so?

Thanks, Ivan
