hi friends

i have foxconn 790gx mainboard and it has many problems.

- can't define my cpu ( recognizes my phenom II x4 955 BE as standard x4 955 )

- can't change cpu multiplier ( if i do BIOS shuts down itself and i have to clear BIOS to restart the pc)

- HT link failure ( works at 1000 mhz instead of 2000 mhz )

- unstable system (especially when i try to use both of the rams, pc resets itself over and over again. rams : 2x2GB 1333MHZ DDR3 CL9 hi-level )

- pci-ex works @ 8x instead of 16x

these are my problems and i guess they are caused by BIOS.

because ;

identification number of BIOS was ; 8C2F1P07
i changed it with an older version ; 8C2F1P04

and now lots of my problems disapperaed. but not al of them Dodgy

the problems i still have are ;

- can't define my cpu ( recognizes my phenom II x4 955 BE as standard x4 955 )

- can't change cpu multiplier ( if i do BIOS shuts down itself and i have to clear BIOS )

- pci-ex works @ 8x instead of 16x

is there any suggestions ? as i know, 8C2F1P07 is the latest BIOS version which one have been released by foxconn official website.

i tried to update my BIOS with "fox live update" program and the newest BIOS file is 8C2F1P05, not 8C2F1P07 (according to fox live update ) . ( 8C2F1P07 was loaded when i bought the mainboard. ) i'm really confused

is there any stable version BIOS for this mainboard ? and where i can find it ?

waiting for your help Sleepy have a nice day
