Hi,
I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with the removal of the whitelist for my DV6-6145tx Notebook.

Does it matter that I not on the latest Bios which is F.1B?

Laptop: HP Pavilion dv6-6145tx
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
BIOS: F.1A
Current Card: Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030
Replacement Card: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230
Bios Driver Link (F.1A): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...ob-96635-1&cc=au&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5146810&sw_lang=
Bios Driver Link (F.1B): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...b-100034-1&cc=au&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5146810&sw_lang=
Bios: Decrypted

My laptop will semi-brick if I go into my Bios but will it work normally if I dont need to enter the BIOS?
I have not got the HP_TOOLS folder anyway as I have formatted and only have the 1 partition now so that should be ok.
I really appreciate the hard work that people on here put in and will test it as soon as my Wifi card arrives (I may grab it over the weekend)
Thanks
Matt

Installed the new Wifi Card and it wouldnt boot, telling me it has an unknown Wifi card.
I turned off, replaced the old card back and then needed to remove the battery.

It now boots up again with the old card installed, does that mean I cannot change the Wifi card or is there something else that I can try?
Matt
We need to try another patch method, that's it Smile

Well I am willing to keep trying if you are nice enough to try again for me.
Sure, don't worry. Wink
Download again from same link, and test.
I can 100% confirm that my DV6-6145tx is now booting perfectly using the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 card.

Thanks you very much. I will donate $10 for your hard work, I really appreciate it.

Thanks
Matt
