My result is that:
- First i execute the file, and it installs ok.
- When it restarts, i enter to the bios for checking if the new bios installation went well, but no avanced menu appears, and it continues to windows.
- In windows, no icon associated with the motherboard (controllers, wifi icon, graphics icon) appears.
- Next time i restart, the screen goes black and capital letters button it flashes.

Finally i need to remove the bios battery some times and the original bios it recovers automatically.

Sorry for my bad english because i'm from spain.

Have a good day
On my dv6-6101eg everything is working just fine, update went fine, advanced menu is unlocked, and saving settings is no problem, thank you camiloml!
The only thing is that the fan settings (fan-speed for low and high temperature) are ignored/without function, which probably has something to do with the coolsense technology. Any ideas how to bypass that, or how the coolsense tool actually works?

Another Question:
I've also seen a NWL modded one made by you, is it possible to combine both into one BIOS?

Thanks in advance,
Blackbirdf

Can you actually change the VT setting [disabled<->enabled], press "Save and Exit" and the laptop will reboot without going into lala-land?
I'll try it out....

Edit:
Tried to disable it and went into remove-my-battery-mode, although I already managed to enable it before somehow, mysterious...
Now I weren't even able to revert back any of the normal (non-advanced settings) settings back to what I've had set before o.O
Hi also i have this bios on my dv7 6197. This mod version works or better wait new mod? Why same bios for someone works and not for others?

Sure, but what has that to do with this mod?
BIOS version history

OC'ing the CPU isn't possible as it's already locked by the processor itself, but you get a lot of options in the advanced menu, I've seen a youtube video showing all the pages quite a while ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xozl0phLKz8
