Thanks for the quick reply.
I managed to flash it but now once i boot, the num lock, caps and scroll lock just keep flashing and the ps2 keyboard is unresponsive so i can't click on del to enter setup or f1 to continue after it posts.
I have tried removing ram etc until its bare minimum and also clearing cmos but same thing.
I dont have a usb keyboard to verify if its just the ps2 port thats not working.any other ideas?

return to the original and check the error
unfortunately i cant return to the original as the keyboard is not detected at all and when i use the usb keyboard its also not detected.im guessing the usb keyboard option in bios is disabled as well. im now digging around hoping gigabyte motherboards have a pin or something that can switch on the usb option without going into the bios
Hi bulldust,
i have the same board and the same problem after flashing.
do you have a solution for this problem?
thank you
Hi there,
Unfortunately i have not managed to solve the issue. Coincidentally I was looking at the issue again this weekend and I noticed that this motherboard comes in 2 revisions!
The bios link i linked to to get the mod is for GA-8I865GVMK-775 (rev. 1.1) whereas my board is GA-8I865GVMK-775 (rev. 1.0)
Is yours the same?
still wondering how I can reflash it in this state...
