Hi, I just bought a QX6800 CPU for my Asus P5W DH Deluxe.

Bios 3002 supports G0, but not my B3.
Not anymore that is... according to this review the B3 DID work in the older bios 1901! http://xtreview.com/review189.htm

Could anyone please help me out and re-enable the QX6800 B3 cpu, but now in the 3002 bios?

Here are bios's 3002 and 1901: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SL...e&p=1&s=22

THANKS. Shy
Does it boot and show the message "Unknown CPU ucode not updated. Press F1 to resume" or doesn't it start at all with just a blank screen?
No, it just got a blank screen.
I was so disapointed that instead I bought a secondhand QX6850 - G0 (which IS supported), and got the same problem. :-( After booting several times my whole bios got so messed up that I couldn't flash from within the bios because the USB devices weren't recognized anymore (neither with my old E6600). After some days of tinkering I was finaly able to downgrade the bios to v2206 and everything worked perfectly again.
Except for the CPU...
If it works, then I can reboot my pc and everything is fine.
But if I:
-Overclock a bit to much, the bios won't boot again (blank screen; CrashFree Bios fails...)
-Restart my pc the next day: often a blank screen too, CrashFree Bios fails again.

The only option is to open the pc, clear the Cmos, and re-enter all the bios information. Then it works again for the time being. Have you ever heard about these problems before ? -Any insight could be helpful.
PS. The problem occurs even when I don't overclock and only with the QX cpu's...
