Hello i´m requesting about cpu upgrade bios on acer travelmate 250 bios

i was reading information about the chipset of that laptop and it says it supports CPU with 1mb of cache , but i check a 3.2Ghz 1mb cache 533mhz and it dont works, reading the users guide of tm250 it says only CPU 512kb cache, but i think, if chipset support it wy the computer no, i think maybe possible make some changes on the bios to upgrade support to 1Mb cache cpus ???
The Cpu web page i read was http://ark.intel.com/products/27369/Mobi...MHz-FSB%29
if you click on compatible Products it links you to another web from intel where you can read Mobile Intel® 852GME Chipset (Configurations: 3) clicking it you can read Mobile Intel® 852GME Chipset with 82801DBM I/O Controller Hub 4 Mobile (ICH4-M) that´s the chipset of tm250, but it dont works.
I search a bit more and found that webpage http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_%28c...52GME.html it said the same, the chipset supports 1mb cache microprocessors
Now i´m trying to find a bios with same chipset and support for that cpu, but at the moment i dont find it, sorry Sad
I will be grateful for all your time and all your work

You can download the original bios bios on acer´s website http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/not...m_240.html is the same bios for tm240 and tm250

Thanks for all
Hello i´m back with more notices.
Finally i´ve found another laptop with same chipset i852GME and have support to 1mb l2 cache microprocessors. the laptop is toshiba satellite A45-S120 and i´ve found a webpage with direct link to the last bios upgrade to that laptop http://www.gzrcw.net/drivers/toshiba/Sat..._1173.html here you can download the bios 1.50 at ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.50 for Satellite A45-S120 (v1.50; 02-23-2004; 2.69M) link.
Now i think i´ve found all the necessary things original bios and a bios with same chipset and supports for the cpu i want, now i only wish you have time to make some work with these bios cpu upgrade.
Thanks a lot
i wait some news, thanks
Just joined the forum, I would like to thank all the great work developed here concerning to BIOS mods.
Searching through the web, for a Travemate 240-250 series BIOS mod I found this forum.
I thought the original BIOS for my Travelmate 244LC did not feature Hyperthreading technology support, but I see that the unlocked BIOS mod arranged by AHMED includes a sub menu for HTT
POC Disabled
PIC Disabled
APIC Disabled (Default)
Desktop HTT
Mobile HTT
I would like to upgrade to a Mobile Pentium 4 HTT, therefore it is neccesary to flash the mod BIOS to my laptop? or my original BIOS, actually version 1.15, would be just fine to enable HTT?.
The other requisites in order to enable HTT, chipset, processor, & OS support already met.

Thanks in advance.
Please provide a link to the BIOS download, you can find this on the manufacturers website.

Thanks.

Thanks.

ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/TravelM..._25x/bios/

My actual BIOS is v1.15:

ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/TravelM...ios115.zip

Thanks in advance.
As there is no way to extract BIOS file from Acer Installer of v1.15, I´ve uploaded a backup of my BIOS v1.15, using WinPhlash.
File with .bak extension.
Hope it is useful.
