hello!

I am back again Wink

1. I made a couple of hours of tests and.. AHCI can not be enabled.. I do not know what is the reason of it but it looks that if I enable SATA 'enhaced' mode & AHCI functionality & disable PATA mode in bios then BIOS does not recognizes OCZ Agility SSD... so it looks something is wrong.. when I turn PATA to be enabled and SATA to enhanced but with no AHCI then the BIOS 'see' SSD drive and I can boot.. but no way for enabling AHCI I tried all the tutaorials how to turn on in win xp but it looks like the ssd is not going to swih to proper ahci mode in bios and if it works not in compatibile mode but in enhanced the read/write speed is slower! than in compatibility mode so I went back to orginal settings with the sata/pata modes : /

2. I wil for sure take a look at the others unlocked options as there are plenty of it Wink

3. I can not find the unlocked menu which gives the ability to overclock (I think) the FSB? I remember there were settings you could adjust the fsb speeds 3,6,9,12,15% is it still locked or in the provided BIOS this option were missing?

Regards and one more time Thanks for unlocking the BIOS,
Miki
Have you tried to disable pata and enable sata (with no ahci) !
Also try enabling pata , sata and ahci all in same time ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you should try all possibilities .
I have modified the 1.06 provided in 1st post and i havent noticed overclocking options , i will take another look tomorrow Smile
Hi,

Quote:Have you tried to disable pata and enable sata (with no ahci)
Yes I tried in cata compatibile and sata enhanced - both works ok but ssd speed is slower than when pata is enabled and sata enabled in compatibility mode - I do not know why

Quote:Also try enabling pata , sata and ahci all in same time ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you should try all possibilities
I think I tried all combinations... the only difference I noticed was in BIOS..

eg:
pata enabled, sata enabled in compatibility - in boot menu I had OCZ Agility (ssd) as IDE device on sata port or sth like that
pata enabled, sata enabled in enhaced (with AHCI enabled or without AHCI enabled) - OCZ agility as IDE but in boot menu appear a new item called SATA hdd or sth like this, OCZ ssd was as IDE SATA called
pata disabled, sata enabled in comaptibility or enhanced but with AHCI disabled - OCZ ssd visible to bios and I was able to boot to windows (if I did not change the U ATA controller to SATA AHCI controller - in this configuration I had always a blue screen Wink and needed to get 'last known good configuration'
pata disabled, sata in enhanced + AHCI enabled - BIOS did not recognize SSD - on bios test page it was counting the memory, initializing keybord etc and when it started (I think) to recognize HDDs it freezes for 15-30second and a message appers 'no system'

I think I will give up with AHCI - I do not think I will get any more from this controller - on SATA I where the max is 1,5Gbit I have ~110-130MB/s transfers - so more I probably do not get

If you would like and have free time yes please but if you wolud preffer to hack other people BIOSes - do not worry - I can live without it Smile
