STOCK MSI G41M-P28 (MS-7592) v26.8 (08-26-2011) BIOS
- updated with Intel GMA 2085 VBIOS.
- a fan option in - h/w monitor - menu has been re-enabled
- some default settings changed from subjectively inefficient MSI defaults
(please compare new defaults vs. stock rom with your favorite AMI modding tool)
- BOOT Splash gfx updated to reflect vbios update and reaffirm this BIOS mod is
a) unsupported by MSI
b) to be used at your own risk (no guarantees whatsoever)

Known to boot into DOS boot disks properly and work with WinXP-32 (IDE-PATA) + 2012 Intel GMA XP32 drivers on MSI G41M-P28 motherboard + Celeron E1200 CPU + Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Ram.

Have you got any info on whether this mod can be applied to the newer 26.11 BIOS?
If so could just give some tips as to what I would need to mod it myself?

        @ (0268) H/W Monitor : restored option (01B1),
        @ (02CA) CPU Specifications : changed default setting for (0035),
        @ (0295) CPU Technology Support : new text for (029B)
        @ (026A) Cell Menu : fixed typo at (02CF)

https://github.com/platomav/MCExtractor
https://www.ibtimes.co.in/intel-stops-sp...ied-765802
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloa...roduct=873

- Updated microcodes for CPUIDs : 10676, 10677, and 1067A.
- Deleted old microcode entries wherever BIOS had newer matching platform/cpu entries already present.
- Changes documented at \DOCS\MICROCODE-LISTS.png - \DOCS\MICROCODE-LISTS.txt

** Option ROM Modules **
- Replaced Intel.Eaglelake.SVGA.BIOS.Build.Number.1859 with Intel.Eaglelake.SVGA.BIOS.Build.Number.2085.
        PCI Device 8086:2E32 Intel.Eaglelake.SVGA.BIOS
- Replaced Intel.RAID.for.SATA.v5.1.2.1002 with RAID.for.SATA.v5.6.2.1002.ROM
        PCI Device 8086:27C3 82801GR/GH (ICH7 Family) SATA RAID Controller
        The v5.1.2.1002 RAID module was presumably included by MSI for use with ICH7R platforms, and not for motherboards supported by this BIOS.
        The v5.6.2.1002 RAID module is also likely to be irrelevant to this firmware.
- Replaced Atheros.BootAgent.v2.0.2.2 with Atheros.BootAgent.v2.1.1.5 with reassigned Device IDs to match AR8131/8132
        PCI Device 1969:1062 Atheros AR8132 Fast Ethernet
        PCI Device 1969:1063 Atheros AR8131 Gigabit Ethernet

** Other Modules **
- Replaced 'User Defined or Reserved' 0xF1 module, containing the OEM Logo for MSI G41M-P28, with new 'OEM' Logo.
- Replaced 'ACPI Table Generator' 0x0F module, containing the OEM Logo for MSI G41M-P26, with new 'OEM' Logo.
- Replaced OEM Logo 0x0E module, containing the OEM Logo for MSI G41M-P33, with generic placeholder graphic.
        Official 'OEM Logo (0x0E module)' entry is not used by this BIOS.
- Added 'Small Logo' as 0x1A module with placeholder graphic.
        Small Logo module is not used by this BIOS.
        Official BIOS release does not contain a Small Logo module.

** Deleted Modules **
- Dummy 'User Defined or Reserved' Modules 0xF2, 0xF3.
        These were OEM Logo jpegs for MSI motherboards not supported by this BIOS.

THank you

NO.  AHCI is NOT supported on this motherboard.  Any BIOS "support" you may run into is fake.

The G41M-P28 (MSI-7592) will never truly support AHCI by itself.
This is an impossible request as the motherboard does NOT have an ICH7 AHCI-capable chipset.

AHCI STATUS with ICH7 SouthBridge family members ...

ICH7 --> NO ... [fake AHCI if AHCI option re-enabled in BIOS Setup]
ICH7B --> NO ... [fake AHCI if AHCI option re-enabled in BIOS Setup]
ICH7R --> YES ... [working AHCI]
ICH7DH --> YES ... [working AHCI]
ICH7M --> YES ... [working AHCI]
