Hi everyone.
I've updated my bios a couple of days ago. I have downloaded new bios from Packard bell, which is my OEM. After i've flashed it my GPU cooler sits idle until GPU temp reaches 80C. Then it works for a while and stops around 68-70. Before the bios update the idle temp of my GPU was 40-50 C or even less.

Apparently I am not alone

There is no way to modify GPU fan settings in PBG15.D20 as it is now. I would be thankful if you provided me with PBG15.D15 bios, which i had before. I've got no response from Phoenix support and Packard bell got only the latest version on their site. Google didn't help much either.

It would be great if there was some way to modify this temperature threshold in the unlocked PBG15.D20 bios. It can be downloaded from

Notebook model is Ipower GX M with the 9800 nvidia card.

Come to think of it my Nvidia card is GTS and the bios on the PB site is for GTX. Could that cause the problem? Is there a way to reset the bios to the version my laptop was shipped with?
Thanks for the request, I shall have a look and get back to you shortly.
Well i couldn't see any hidden options to unlock that might relate to this in the D20 bios and couldn't find a copy of the D15 bios to download.

Fingers crossed AHMED HOSSAM has some other ideas Big Grin

Good Luck!
