( UEFI ) Unlock request for Dell L702x Bios
#1
Hello,

is it possible that some may have a look at this BIOS

Link: Dell-Bios A11

I only need the HyperThreading option to be disabled but other options wouldn't be bad.

If this option could permanently disabled without a new point/menu in the bios it would also be enough for me.

Thanks in Advance

Unfortunately, Dell XPS L702X use Phoenix Tiano BIOS. It's UEFI BIOS. As far as I know, not possible to mod it yet.

If you use my modified BIOS image & you like it, please consider making a donation. Thank you very much. Smile

HI ,

INSYDE BIOS COULD BE UNLOCKED AND IT`S FOR TEST NOW BY CAMILOML AND ME ( I`M IN A VACATION NOW Big Grin CAMILOML IS THE ONE WHO UNLOCKED IT Smile ) .
IF YOU LIKE TO TEST A MODIFIED BIOS , TELL ME AND I WILL MOVE THE THREAD TO THE INSYDE SECTION .
IF YOU THINK IT`S NOT SAFE , NO PROBLEM AND I WILL CLOSE THE THREAD Smile

I`M WAITING YOUR REPLY .

hmm... I can't flash the bios because the unlocked version "is the same version or older".
I have the A11 (06/01/2011) from Dell on the laptop.
On wich version based your unlock?

By the way I've seen there is an new update to A12 for the L702x.
May be you can unlock this one.

thanks in advance for reply

i have tried to unlock the A011 which was posted in the first post.

please post a link for the A012 or just flash the A011 from dos .

this will not brick your notebook and it`s for test .
i`m waiting your reply Smile

Hi guys

here there is the download link of last version bios (A012)

http://support.euro.dell.com/support/dow....aspx?c=it&l=it&s=gen&releaseid=R309590&SystemID=XPS_L702X&servicetag=&os=W764&osl=it&deviceid=27252&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=7&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=0&libid=1&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=467580

I think if the new bios would let to control max vcore it would be perfect.

tnks
