Hello, I know this board is old but just wanted to see if anyone could check the BIOS to verify it can accept this CPU
The Gigabyte website states it can support it but unfortunately it seems it does not
It recognizes the CPU on boot but when trying to install Windows or Linux it crashes
I've tested the CPU in another system and it works fine, swapped memory, Video, hard drives, no go

one thing that seems really strange is that the file size is different
Downloaded file from Gigabyte website is 486.6kb
extracted file ma69vms2.f10 is 524kb
extracted bin is 131kb

Maybe I extracted the file incorrectly?
The latest bios from gigabyte supports the 95watt phenom x4 945, and many other deneb cores.
I'd included the bios but it's in an .exe form and i don't want to upload the wrong file so... Heres a link to the board on gigabyte's website also.

Could someone help me please?

Recently I had a 300GB SATA-150 (Maxtor DiamondMax 10) fail on me, so I bought a 1000GB SATA-300 (Seagate Barracuda 7200.12) drive to replace it with. The problem I am having is the system hangs while detecting the SATA drive (before the XP OS boots). It recognizes the drive model # but just it hangs when it attempts to identify the drive size (i.e 1000GB).

I suspect it’s a motherboard BIOS issue. My SATA controller is built into the motherboard and figure it’s the SATA-150 controller having issue with a SATA-300 drive. However, my motherboard manufacturer has abandoned any future bios updates. So, I went to the SATA controllers’ website and found the current BIOS update. But, I can’t figure out how to incorporate it into my motherboard bios.

•	I'm using Gigabyte GA-8INXP motherboard with F5 (latest) bios.
•	It has an onboard SATA-150 Silicon Image Sil 3112A SATALink Controller (current bios version is 4.1.36C with the latest SiI 3112 BASE driver version 1.3.68.2).
•	I'm trying to use a 1TB SATA-300 (Seagate Barracuda 7200.12) in BASE configuration with jumper setting forced to SATA-150 mode.
•	The new SiI3112: SATA BIOS is v4.2.84
If someone (Spinner?) could put together the F5 bios with the latest SiI 3112A BASE bios, I would be very grateful.

thanks.

If someone (Spinner?) could put together the F5 bios with the latest SiI 3112A BASE bios, I would be very grateful.

thanks.
