I have a Optiplex 780 running for 2 years now with a Xeon X3363 CPU, and using the Bios from cerverappz.
I was just running out of space and decided to upgrade the HDD's to 2x 3TB drives and have them setup in RAID.
Drives are detected by bios and windows, problem is that the intergrated Intel Raid doesnt support such large drives.
The Intel Option ROM is version 8.5.2.1002, and needs to swapped out by version 11.2.0.1527.
Found the ROM file for this on another board (attached). So far so good.

Problem is that when I open the file "O780-A15 E0 1067A-771.exe" in PhoenixTool 2.73 it gives an error and reboots my PC.
This happens as well when I try the command "O780-A15 E0 1067A-771.exe /writeromfile".

It should be a relatively easy task to complete, but with the error and restart happening, I am unable to complete it.

Any one able to help, or have any ideas?

My garage computer containg the GA-EP45T-USB3 finally gave up due to the heat wave this summer. The sensors indicated wild fluctuating MB voltages which triggered frequent reboots. Since finding a direct replacement is difficult due to this MB's popularity, I tried a GA-EP45T-UD3LR rev1.1 which can also use the Xeon X5492 with the mod sticker & DDR3 RAM.

Updates to the original 12E bios include the following:

ICH10R southbridge - v11.2.0.1527 with the TRIM mod
RTL8111C ethernet - rtegrom266.lom
ICHAACHI 1.2 original from a EP45-USB3P
Updated NCPUCODE

Comparing benchmarks of the GA-EP45T-UD3LR rev1.1 with GA-EP45T-USB3 showed no significant differences, making this MB a reasonable replacement.
Everything works, but w/o the use of AHCI/RAID..an SSD is slower than molasses in February (laughing)..Dell didn't even put an option in for AHCI, so the BIOS will also have to be reprogrammed. the latest version for the BIOS is A11..& there are only the basic functions..no kind of advanced settings. now there COULD be a MOBO (motherboard) that has options for SATA, but i seriously doubt it. The BIOS is Phoenix. I tried using the Phoenix BIOS editor, but I saw no kind of advanced tabs..so if anyone can help out..or show me the way, I'd be most grateful. Thank all of you in advance. As no RST software compatibility needs to be overcome, it is best to run the proper ROM for our ICH10 chipset. (fastest benchmarks with this ROM).
If you run Windows 10 and use INTEL SATA in AHCI mode. Also for ANY other OS using either AHCI or RAID modes.
As no RST software compatibility needs to be overcome, it is best to run the proper ROM for our ICH10 chipset. (fastest benchmarks with this ROM).
Flash Sxxt:
If you need ALL the add-on hardware enabled at the same time.
the newer NIC OROM takes up too much memory to fit everything. This one uses the older/smaller OROM that can still fit in BIOS memory with all the other devices enabled.

I have the P6T Deluxe v2 board and I have a very old Intel RAID ROM (ver 8.0.0.1038). I am new to modding and I am trying to find out if I should update the Intel ROM

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Currently I am running;
BIOS version 1202
Intel ROM - 8.0.0.1038 (set to RAID)
Intel RST driver - 12.6.3.1000 (using RAID driver)
Using Intel SATA ports for single drive SSD and single drive HDD (SSD has the O/S)

Did tests using AS SSD, CrystalDisk and Anvil, per the numbers this gave the best numbers in testing for me using the past 8 Intel RST drivers in both AHCI and RAID mode. See attahced

So looking for some advice and numbers to see if I should update the Intel ROM. Or maybe if someone can explain why I should update the Intel ROM since as I mentioned, I am new to this.

I have the P6T Deluxe v2 board and I have a very old Intel RAID ROM (ver 8.0.0.1038). I am new to modding and I am trying to find out if I should update the Intel ROM

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Currently I am running;

After one day of testing, boots and sleeps fine. C1E and EIST was enabled in the BIOS but was inactive in windows till I physically performed a CLEAR BIOS on the MB, loaded the optimal defaults in the BIOS, and changed VCORE in the MIT from AUTO to NORMAL.
New to the forums been lurking for awhile. I stumbled on this site when I began my search and some were able to load the newest OROM's into the BIOS for the Asus Rampage III Extreme thus enabling TRIM support under RAID0. I flipped through the - Asus Rampage III Extreme ZioMod Bios - thread as well as other areas on the site and didn't see what I was looking for so I thought I post my request. I have the Asus Rampage III Gene motherboard (the Micro ATX X58 equivalent of yours - http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_S.../#overview ) and was wondering if someone would be able to apply the same OROM mod's that say ZioGTS did to theRampage III Extreme BIOS to the one for my particular motherboard? The latest BIOS for the Asus Rampage III Gene can be found here - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1...S-1003.zip

Hello everybody !

I am new here. I searched in this forum for an answer with no success, but if there is, forgive my newbieness

I've just received my two new WD RED 3TB, and want to create a RAID 1 on my Asus P6T mobo. Detected as 746GB in IMR ...

Couple of hours later, I had tried a lot of solutions with no real success ... Bios updated : Bios ASUS P6T

I saw this :

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-As...408-modded

And this :

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-As...0-RAID-mod

But it seems to need IMR 10.1.X.X to support 3TB HDD. I also read about 64K limit for this mobo, but not sure to understand all ...

I don't have the skills to try doing the job myself.

It will be really nice if somebody could help me (maybe just to say "not possible" ) !

More information on my configuration :

- Mobo Asus P6T (classical, with no "Deluxe" or SE")
- Non-RAID HDD for OS (W2K8 R2)
- 2x 3TB WD RED
- CPU I7-920
- Poor VGA card, no SLI / CrossFire
- No use of JMicron
- Use of Realtek

Thanks a lot !
