Hi, I'm really new to this unlocking bios stuff and this would be my first time doing so.

I've gotten to the part under "BIOS update" where you are suppoused to "Copy the BIOS update image that you want to flash to the USB flashdrive" and I have literally no idea where to get this. My motherboard runs on AMI that was last updated 2009 and is version P01-A3. Whatever that means.

The reason for me to update the BIOS is to install more RAM since the BIOS I have now wont let me. (The motherboard is supposed to handle the parts I've gotten, that I am pretty sure of.

My motherboard is a Packard Bell RS740 and my computer is a pre-built Packard Bell iextreme M5120.

If somebody could help me with this I would be really gratefull!

Hey there guys. I read that topic about almost the same model and you guys successfully modded that bios? I have exact bios (AMI P01-A3) but i think i dont have the same chipset?? I made just bios backup, and im not sure is it worthy but ill attach it to this topic.

So the main reason that i made this topic was that is it possible to flash bios with this (http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-un...-AMI-bios) or should i avoid it incase of brick? I made backup and tbh i'm not sure how to recovery if brick occurs. Would be more than thankful for help, i wanna get my cpu unlocked Smile
Thanks in advance!
I'm telling this because there are some S3800's wich come with a i3 or a HD 5570, and i'm not sure if this could mean that the mobo is a variation or exactly the same. (i'm new into this of MOBO BIOS's).
