I have scoured the net, and I've managed to find a working link to a copy of the Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 14/15 BIOS Mod for the latest 2013 BIOSes for said machines. [Edit: 12/27/2019] Serg008's link is down, so I'm reuploading my computer's copy. Please make note that I only have the whitelist patch only - not the SLIC modification. At the very least, you can use an HP-assigned Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chip in an Edge 15 with this BIOS mod. Just enable WiMAX for the Bluetooth in the BIOS screen.
Hello everyone!

Here is a threaad of my unlocked Phoenix bios on Lenovo IdeaPad 700-15isk to get XMP memory profile working.
Thanks to member Dudu2002 who modded bios i have fully unlocked Bios now.
As Laptop support m.2 disks i managed to bought Samsung 960 Pro 512gb NVME disk
and has Intel i7-6700HQ, I know that that processor support up to 3200Mhz ram on expensive laptops 2500usd and more..
But Ram speed is locked to 2133Mhz as IT industry wants that and thats nerve me a lot
so I bought Corsair CMSX16GX4 M2A3000 which is declared to 16gb 3000Mhz XMP profile.

At first Laptop starts at 2133Mhz with SPD profile active at 1.2V.
So I found that user Dudu2002
wrote on a few threads:
Bios mod can be flashed using SPI-programmer+SOIC8 clip only
I managed to buy that SPI-programer thats only 2.45 USD and SOIC8 SOP8 CLIP 2.88USD from AliExpress.

When i got it, I messaged modder and he sent to me CH341A program version 3.0v. Than I errased everything from bios
and thinked that I need to bring laptop to servis as It won't start-up after flashing. To instal bios in servis it cost around 65usd.

I decided to go next and to try fully mod my bios as Servis can allways fix it.
And than found thats that SPIClip isn't only what is needed, users who wants to RW bios chips with that need to pay aditional 10usd
for registered CH341A program from mail (skygz@qq.com) in program.
I asked via yahoo mail author about program licence and after pay on PayPal 10usd he sent to me licenced program, he is from china.

Now with licenced program I got posible to do with SPI clip what I want and bring laptop back in life.
Than Dudu2002 sent me 2 modded bioses dump from mu dump and I tryid both.
Second one was the finish point what I want.
I got better bios than in 3500e laptops and can do everything with ram and XMP profiles.
As I'm also programer and developer i decided to sent donation to Dudu2002, 30 euro from Serbia via PayPal.
and sugest everybody to do same as guy knows things.

Here in post are some before and after results from AIDA64 and images from modded bios.
At the end is looking of modded bios. Performace is insane now.
Next thing is to get i7-6820HK and GTX1050ti BGA reballing on this laptop

Warm regards

Hi,

While trying to find something for this model all I have stumbled upon was a lot of drama concerning some individual called Oleh, who is apparently selling these mods outside of this forum, still! That's of course none of my business, but I've decided to post my own mod which was made possible based on the information from harbahabr.ru, mostly .. and from previous experience with Tiano UEFI on my Dell.

# Features include

Code:

- MSR_PMG_CST_CONFIG_CONTROL 0xE2 unlocked
- AES-NI instruction set lock removed
- RAM Speed Lock at 1333 MHz removed
- Whitelist for WWAN and WLAN cards removed
- Date/Time tab swapped with Advanced Setup tab
- Intel VBIOS updated from 2089 to 2170 with UEFI GOP support

As always, there's a Readme bundled with this mod, which tells you all the obvious things on how you must flash clean 8cuj20us (1.41) first to update the boot block and all that, and only then flash the custom firmware. An added bonus is that I have besides all the files, I have included a summary write-up in the mod_data directory with all the details on where the patches used here originated (links included) and how I came about patching this BIOS on my own. For the RAM speed unlock, I can't seem to get a proper disassembly of the SandyBridgePhx module from 1.41 on OSX, so you will have to rely on an objdump snippet taken from 1.39 instead .. yes the offsets do differ, but the premise is all the same.

# Software and files used for the mods

Code:

- UEFITool - kudos to @CodeRush
- Intel Binary Modification Program (BMP) - thanks @Ashp from providing Intel Confidential ;)
- Intel VBIOS dummy archive - courtesy of win-raid.com Forums, @SoniX in particular

Intel BMP was used to pull configuration from OEM Lenovo 2089 Intel VBIOS into 2170 dummy, the config is is included in the archive as well - snm_2089.ssf. Part of this config is the port map and setup, specific to this laptop model, so never blindly re-use it on anything else.

Find it HERE, I have my attachment quota full on this forum :\
I have flashed a WL-free BIOS from Serg008 to my T410 2537-DA3. I had the latest factory BIOS before. Flash was successful, i disabled the TPM because the beeps at startup. Adapter ROM is 1.18, in addition.
Then i realized, that i cannot read CPU speed from the OS (Ubuntu), and the battery isn't charging.
I can see on the indicator, when it is inserted or not, but no charging. I installed TLP, started a calibration, but it only discharged the battery, and charging is not working. (Or if it is working, BIOS does not see what charging circuit is doing.)

I tried to flash factory BIOS, but it cannot be done with 0% battery. I tried to flash factory BIOS from .exe , but i only have a Live Mini XP as Windows, and it does not work. Winphlash itself is working fine, but i can not find any factory Fl1 and Fl2 what i can trust and i can flash.
Can someone suggest any solution for this?

Can someone help me with my Lenovo U310 65cn89ww. I would like to use HD encryption and my ultrabook came with AES-NI locked/disabled even tough It's capable of it...
I already got the whitelist removal and replaced my WiFi card.

I have a dual-boot win7x64 and win8.1x64
