Its the typical em61sm/em61pm
Athlon x2 5200 cpu
4 gigs of 800 ram
hd6700 video card
600w bronze power supply
Phoenix bios
Raid controller
Windows 10 64bit

Now Ive tried flashing it with phlash and it came up saying it couldnt due to emm386.   Also had issues with it just even accepting any of the different boot usb's (used rufus hp wintoflash etc)
I tried it with just the base files and the full 98 startup disk. The only way I ever got all the way to the phlash program was to leave the startup disk completely intact with all of the files. If I trimmed it down to just the 3 files or even all of the dos programs it wouldnt boot. Would just go straight to windows.
any advice or idea what im doing?  Im trying to flash the abit bios into it.]]>

This is for the version of this computer that comes with an AMD, NOT an Intel!

To flash,

1) Follow the procedure at http://www.bios-mods.com/bios-update/ for creating win98 DOS mode USB boot drive.

2) Once the USB drive is created, copy the 3 files from the attached Desktop.zip to the root of the USB.

3) Reboot, and hold down F12 at the BIOS boot screen, select HDD and then your USB drive to boot from it.

4) At the DOS prompt, type "aflash" and your bios will be updated. Enjoy!

alright now on to business. im trying to get my VIA vt6421a SATA PCI chipset recognized in my bios so i can throw a boot disk on it. also another thing i found out about through bios modding is increasing the hdd size. this one dosent recognize my 2TB (actually the bios i link to is updated from mine and has more options so it might already have a higher limit) also, one last thing if its not to much trouble, its a p4 board with about a 2.00ghz limit, any way to jack that up so i can throw a 2.8ghz or 3.0ghx w/HT in it? or should i ask in the cpu forum (again it might be updated in the new bios, i havint tried the new bios yet because i have no floopie's and no windows flash options seem to want to run but im running out now to grab some)

Then overclock using the bios, pinmod gets you to 1.550 volts and i was Ship at 2.2ghz.lol Now i kick [censored] in combat arms at 2.96 ghz. lol

I AM ON STOCK COOLING, make sure u get ceramique arctic 5, 2.5ml, nice stuff, and best of luck oc'ers.
