Hey Guys,
I am new to this website. I currently have a SONY VAIO VPCEH26EN which has:-
1) Insyde BIOS Version -> R0200Z9
2)ME Version- 7.0.4.1197

I want to install MacOS Sierra on my PC but I can't properly boot into my USB.
The site I am viewing to install Mac OS Sierra is -> http://www.wikigain.com/install-macos-sierra-pc/
According to the site I need to perform following changes in my BIOS Setting.

  1. Load Optimized Defaults

  2. Set The SATA Controller Mode to AHCI

  3. Set the Boot Priority to UEFI

  4. Set OS Type to Other OS

  5. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it

  6. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it

  7. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it

  8. If you have a six series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0

  9. Save and exit.
But the problem is many settings are unavailable.

And so I need a Modded BIOS to perform following changes to successfully install MacOS Sierra.

You can find the BIOS at -> http://www.sony.co.in/support/download/5.../vpceh26en

If anything more is required please reply and help me get out of this situation.

P.S. What was your previous CPU?

Hello and Happy New Year!  Sorry for the late update.  So the guy I was working with was not able to unlock the "advanced cpu controls" power menu settings in my bios.  But in throttlestop, I went into the TPL menu and changed the Intel Power Balance with CPU=31, and now when I run various stress tests, the multiplier partially boosts to 28x, but never higher. Why is the multplier only topping out at 28x?

Attach are three pictures with hwmonitor. The first one is with all cores loaded.  The second one is with hyper-pi running one 1 processor. The third one is hyper-pi with all 8 processors, but I'm noticing now that once the temperature hits about 68C, it begins to throttle the cpu.  Isn't that too early for it to throttle? I've never heard anyone say 68C at full load being too hot.

The previous CPU in this laptop was a i3-2310m, which does not have Intel Turbo Boost, and a TDP of 35W.  I am still currently using the stock AC adapter, which is rated at 90W.  Do I need upgrade it to a 120/150W brick?

And here is the CPU-Z report:

It says something along the lines of "there's no operating system and to remove any usb and press any key to continue"
In your BIOS Turbo Boost is enabled by default. But power limits for it is set to 35W.
i7-2860QM needs 45W for long duration and 60W for short duration.
Make and post of a photo of the page in BIOS - Boot.
Yes it does look like it's still trying to draw the 35W TDP as if the 2310m was still installed.  How would I be able to change it so that the laptop draws sufficient power for the 2860qm?  I've seen pictures of other unlocked InsydeH20 bios where they have a sub-menu called "Advanced CPU Control" and "Platform Power Management," and I would think I'd find something there that would help me with my problem.  I ordered a 150W ac adapter in the mean time.  Attached is a picture of my bios-boot menu
In BIOS-Boot menu:
Enable UEFI Boot
Disable Quick Boot
Enable EFI Device First
And try again the trick with USB.
the same issue is happening
Do you know how to install OS in UEFI mode?
Please make photos of all pages in BIOS.
Show screenshots with a content of that USB flash.
I've found official BIOS (R0200Z9) that I can unpack.
Please try reflash it with i7-2860qm installed. Then make new BIOS dump.
I think it will reinit NVRAM variables.
