As some smart guys advice me, you have to play with this option:

Select option: 'PowerXpress Setting' [ VarStore: '0x1e7', QuestionId: '0xa8', Help: 'Setting Mux or Muxless']

cause
Quote:In computers muxless system Integrated video is always active and discrete system uses the integrated structure. The video card is not integrated in a pcie interface.

Program for BIOS parsing will be published soon.

Yes, your BIOS is the same and the same for me )))) I have DV7

So you can switch to AHCI easily

1. Take USB stick and format to FAT32
2. Create directory structure EFI\Boot
3. Download BOOTX64.EFI
4. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.
5. Restart and enter BIOS setup.
6. Make sure you have following values:
Legacy Support: Disable
Secure Boot: Disable
7. Reboot and press F9 to boot from USB stick
8. Give commands:
setup_var 0x36 0x01
setup_var 0x39 0x01

9. Reboot and you Windows should find Intel AHCI controller.
10. REPORT RESULT HERE
11. Enjoy.

No always. In most cases VSS memory addressing is not changing after BIOS update, so BIOS flasher does not erase CMOS.

I seem to be having some issue.

I formatted a 4 GB stick.
I downloaded the file, unpacked it, and put file in stick.
Turned off Legacy mode and Secure Boot.
Booted from stick.
but I get no curser.
I waited a few minutes, but no luck.
Just a black screen.
When I reboot from HDD all is well.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you sure you done these points?

2. Create directory structure EFI\Boot
3. Download BOOTX64.EFI
4. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.
So it took a minute, but I figured it out.

I did exactly what you listed, but it would never boot from USB drive.
Then I remembered the way I got my mSATA drive to work as the primary drive on slot 1.

So enabled Legacy Mode, that did the trick and it booted from the USB Drive.
I entered the commands, that worked!

When I rebooted no luck, I had to reinstall windows, but after that all is well.

SATA AHCI Controller showed up and works perfectly!

Thanks for all your work, You Rock!
