Hi members,
can anybody help me to remove the whitelist from my Lenovo e330? I want to upgrade wifi card.
Lenovo ThinkPad E330
Typ 3354-4QG
UEFI BIOS 1.12
Embedded Controller 1.18
Old Wifi card Intel N2230
New Wifi Intel 7260
I don`t know how to backup and restore the bios. I`ve read something about Intel fpt-backup. But can`t find to download this tool?
Since update to Windows 10 I have a lot of connectivity problems.
Thanks so much!
regards
ridi
Hi Dudu2002,
could you please whitelist my BIOS for WiFi-Cards?
Here the info you'll need:
Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E330 (same BIOS as for Lenovo V480s)
Model: 3354-BMG
Bios version: H3ET76WW (1.13)
Original BIOS:
https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/h3uj76ww.exe
Bios backup:
https://www.sendspace.com/file/wgu3a8
Currently running: Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230 (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_42628086&REV_C4)
Would like to run: Intel AC-7260 with Bluetooth (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B1) (I think, I don't have the card yet!)
Would like to run also: Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B) (for testing with 3 antennas that I installed on the laptop!)
Another question please: since I don't want to ask you every time a new BIOS version is out, do you think it's possible explaining me how to mod the BIOS by myself?
It would be a great pleasure to me... thank you, let me know!

Thanks Dudu2002,
tested only now but works great!
Only 2 things about my personalized BIOS mod:
- When I enter the BIOS menu "Advanced" ---> "Network Configuration" ---> "IPv4 Network Configuration" it returns back to the "Advanced" menu, BUT the strange things is that this "Advanced" menu, despite is identical to the real "Advanced" menu, is instead a sub-menu. Entering again in "Network Configuration" ---> "IPv4 Network Configuration" produces another sub-menu etc. (I tried many times thinking it was a bug... and really it is!), so I had to press "Esc" many many times to return back to the home menu. Obviously no "IPv4 Network Configuration" was possible. Anyone else user here trying this with the same result?!?
- I asked you if you can explain me how to mod the BIOS by myself for the future... is it possible? You can PM me if you want... it's only for me and not with the intention to sell the method to help others... anyway: thank you again!
