SLAF7 should work, but updating microcode (in BIOS) is recommended.

And tell me, please. How do I make changes to the microcode? Can there be a ready-made version of the modified BIOS for F5VL? And what utility is better to flash BIOS on ASUS F5VL? I've had a sad experience with this laptop, when I update the BIOS (to add RAM as the old version of the BIOS saw only 2 GB) using the standard utility ASUS - laptop died, had to unsolder the BIOS and set a new one.
