Hello everybody Blush
I have a Lenovo L450 notebook (broadwell i3-5005U...) with BIOS version v1.1 jduj03ww.exe and want to change the dvmt pre-allocated size to 128mb. It is possible, because I analyzed the BIOS with UEFITool and IFR Extractor. Here is the Interesting part
(part of the pe32 image of PlatformHiiAdvancedDxe)

I tried using EFI Shell with the command "setup_var 0x37 0x4", but it jsut says looking for variable and then nothing comes (just another grub> prompt, but the variable seems not to have changed).

So please help me with a bios which has this option unlocked or point me in the right direction on how I can set the variable. Thank you very much in advance! Angel

No. As stated in the first post, it has an Intel Broadwell i3 5005U CPU. The more detailed technical specifications are here: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thi...tech_specs
Can You do a Full Report using AIDA64 cracked version to see all MoBo specs ?

again what you need?
Hello Oleh. Please read the first few posts to get all the information needed (like my bios dump).
I want to set the dvmt pre-allocated size from the default value 0x1 (32mb) to value 0x4 (128mb). I tried using the efi shell command "setup_var 0x37 0x4", but it can not find the variable and does not change the value.

It jsut returns another grub> prompt. So my request is the following:
A) help me change the value
B) create a BIOS which has the dvmt pre-allocated size set to 128mb (variable 0x37 set to value 0x4)
C) create a BIOS which unlocks me setting the dvmt pre-allocated size

with either of A,B or C I would be very very happy Smile
