Hi,
I would like to have all "secret" options available for my BIOS.
But it seems to be encrypted.
The BIOS inside the HP installer seems to contain an encryption BIOS image.
But the HP_TOOLS partition contains an unencrypted image.
It also stores a ".sig" file next to that unencrypted BIOS image.
Is it possible to flash a modded BIOS without bricking my notebook?
The original HP image is located here:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56001-56500/sp56404.exe
Thanks
I need the advanced settings in the BIOS for HP g6-1336sa. I need to change how much memory is reserved as at the moment it's using 4.6gb :/
BIOS link:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp62001-62500/sp62234.exe
BIOS: F.6a
If anyones already modded this BIOS to add advance settings can you please post the link.
Anymore information needed let me know.
Thanks
Unfortunaley your bios, like all new HP bios, have a startup verification check that prevents the rom from being modified. Any modifications will result in a brick, so these kind of bios are currently unmoddable. Sorry

Buddy i get the below Error
"The BIOS image is corrupted or does not contain the correct digital signature. The System BIOS will not be updated."
I think this BIOS is RSA signed or something. Do you mind if you can try to unlock for sp55442 (since its made in 2011 and i am also currently using this version) and its URL is
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55442.exe
I'll try to skip the RSA check...
