Hi everyone!

Can someone add i7 740qm support to this BIOS. its support only max. i5 cpus, but his brother (K52JT) BIOS does.

I have this BIOS on my laptop : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/K52J...cAS216.zip
This would be the donor BIOS : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/K52J...TAS206.zip

Please!  Angel

Thank you!
Microcodes in these BIOS are equal. Have you tried to run i7 on your laptop? Set BIOS setting Primary Display to PEG before install cpu without integrated graphics.

Yes, tried it! Its turning on and off immediately. However did not tried to set the Primary Display thing. Will try and let you know the results.

Thank you for the tip! Smile
Regards.
Unfortunately, there is no option like that in the BIOS! Sad
Can we somehow change the K52JT BIOS ID to be the same as the K52JC BIOS? So i could flash that on my laptop?
This option in hidden tab Chipset.
Chipset->North Bridge Configuration->Primary Display
In your BIOS default value is SG(Switchable Graphics), you need change to PEG(PCI Express Graphics).
Open your bios with AMIBCP 4.55, find this option and change default value (Failsafe and Optimal). Save the bios and flash.
Then boot with old cpu, go to BIOS, and restore defaults. Then try new cpu.
Thank you! Smile
Hi! Its me again! Without any success with the previous BIOS!

Can you insert microcodes from this one : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/G73J...hAS213.zip

Into this one : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/K52J...cAS216.zip

Thank you!

You have newer microcodes than in G73Jh BIOS.
If a trick with changing Primary Display don't works then your motherboard is compatible with cpus with integrated graphics only.
Ok. Thank you for the info!

The problem is maybe the gpu settings in bios. Its not PEG. Its soldered on the motherboard. What settings should i choose? When i choose the PEG(PCI Express Graphics), the display is black. No output to external monitor neither.
