I need access to amd cool n quiet or settings related to the cpu so i can get speed that my apu is advertised.



I used AmdMsrTweaker to find out what the problem is and as i expected turbo core is locked



the turbo core option is greyed out in amd overdrive



Amd Pscheck display the turbo core speed 3.5ghz but the apu never goes over 2.5ghz i use rivaturner and hardwareinfo 64 to monitored my temperature and speed and it never pass 2.5ghz im not trying to overclock the cpu.

BDDMASTER told me that the only way to unlock my bios is via falseclock method but since his thread is overload with request i decided to make my own post.

one clever answer-yes, it is the same for all, but some platforms and vendors not support it. But is once way get access to hidden options.
Follow all steps in that thread. That method helped many users witn nonmoddable bioses.

the last step is to reboot but reboot command or halt command doesnt work soo i press the turn on button once is that safe?
also after aplying the setup_var i dont see any change in the bios menu, im missing the log right ? so i can see which setup_var to config ?

I found follow options:
Setting: Cool N' Quiet Support, Variable: 0xE7
Option: Disabled, Value: 0x0
Option: Enabled, Value: 0x1 (default)
So cool n quiet option enabled by vendor..
Setting: CPU P-State Setting, Variable: 0xEF
Option: Auto, Value: 0x0 (default)
Option: Lowest Speed, Value: 0x1

If you enter "setup_var 0xE7 0x0" you disable cool n quiet. You find intesting hidden options in extracted file.
values, which have "default" are swithed by vendor and changed to default when you load safe or default changes

Thanks after disabling cool n quiet i see no change, do i need an uefi capable os ? or is there any other options that i can try yo change or can i make the hidden tabs visible with this ?

No, you can change settings in EFIX64 shell only!!To unlock hidden tabs i need do some manipulations in setuputity module and flash it in your laptop. Without HW spi programmer it is impossible at your platform!
