I've followed Instructions from
Rufus - http://rufus.akeo.ie/
And also added on folders from LENOVO_Z500_P500_71CN51WW_NWL_ADV
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...l-71cn51ww

I get this message:
Boot Failed: please change disks and press any key to enter
Screen photos attached.

Lenovo seems to have more roadbloacks for users modifying bios than other OEMs.  I'm thinking there are some Lenovo specific settings to change.

Thanks!!
I finally got USB to boot to work on Lenovo.
Making USB - made a DOS loading system using a folder "WIN98_FILES" https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/f...ment-36129

I put folder/files on the USB stick:
1) FPT_DOS > fpt.exe and fparts.txt - located inside file FPT_DOS.zip
2) output_mod.bin by donovan6000 more info at this archive folder

Enter the Bios Setup by following How to enter BIOS setup Utility for Windows 8/8.1
To enter Setup Utility:
  1. Open the Charm Bar by pressing Windows Key-C
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Click on Change PC Settings
  4. Click on General
  5. Scroll to the bottom and click on Advanced Startup -> Restart Now
  6. Click on Troubleshoot
  7. Click on Advanced Option
  8. Click on UEFI Firmware Settings
  9. Click on Restart
In the BIOS Setup Utility "InsydeH20 Setup Utility", I made the following changes:
1) Configuration tab
BIOS Black Flash  [Enabled]
2) BOOT tab:
Boot Mode [Legacy Support]
Boot Priority [Legacy Support]
USB Boot [Enabled]
Priority > move USB to the top
3) F10 to save and exit

After the reboot my USB loaded, and these were the commands I ran:
ppr2
fpt.exe -f output_mod.bin -BIOS
fpt.exe -VERIFY output_mod.bin -BIOS
