Hey everyone, this is a great forum. I've done a lot of reading on here and other sites regarding this issue. And after downloading several tools to try and do it myself I have determined that this is over my head. I would really appreciate some assistance with this. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad P500 and I just purchased an Intel 6235 Wifi card to get 5GHz only to receive the dreaded 'Unauthorized wireless card' error upon booting up. I'll list all the information I have including a backup file of the current BIOS using Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0. Currently there are no downloadable BIOS updates from Lenovo for this model. I really want to be able to use the new wifi card I bought. And I am willing to compensate anyone who can modify my BIOS and get it working.

Model - Lenovo IdeaPad P500

So is it even possible without a flashable bios file? Lenovo has yet to release a downloadable bios update for this model.

Here is your patched bios rom, it's hard to find a tool to flash it because your bio is not officially release yet. Also, ENABLE your BIOS FLASH BACK in the bios option before you flash.

Thank you very much for helping out with this litan. Like you said though, I am having a very hard time finding a program that will flash it. Anybody got any ideas?

Keep getting an error message when running this. I have also run it as administrator like it says with the same exact error.

Still getting the same error message. See the attached picture.

UPDATE: It appears after a little research that this version of FPT is incompatible with certain Intel chipsets. Don't know for sure if that's the case here, but I don't know what else could be the cause.
