Try my new mod.
After flashing go to BIOS and do Load Defaults.
Reboot and post the string begging with "MSR 0x00000198" from new(!) CPU-Z TXT Report.

Hey!

Attached is the new report.

Still half speed and much slower than before. Took too much time to load windows and open programs. I noticed that on first mod, but now is worse.

MSR 0x00000198 0x06160D25 0x06000616

Hope you can do something.

Tks a lot!
Deathbringer,

See if it helps Smile

Tks!

EDIT - I´ve flashed the stock F6 bios and the computer stills slow. So forget about what i said about the pc being slower with your mod.
Please try my 3rd version of mod.
After flashing go to BIOS and do Load Defaults.
Reboot and post the string begging with "MSR 0x00000198" from new(!) CPU-Z TXT Report.

Hey Deathbringer, it worked now. Attached is every screenshot of the info you have been asking. One weird thing is that cpu runs at 2600Mhz by bios and cpu-z, but won´t reach that speed nor full load (only 91%) by system monitor.

But the computer is much better now!!!!!

MSR 0x00000198 0x06160D25 0x06000D25

Tks a lot!
Nice news!
Add "[Solved]" to this topic's header by editing first post.
And please post new topic in Confirmed CPU Support Upgrades with attached BIOS mod.

System monitor shows wrong information. In previous case it showed only 1,17 GHz instead of 1200 Mhz.
Try reinstall OS.

I´m so thankfull !!!!

Yes, i´ll do that. I was looking here, while cpu-z shows 1196 mhz, system monitor shows 2100mhz!!!!

I´ll try reinstalling os as soon as I can! Tks again!!!!
Hi, I own a Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 rev 3.9 and Pentium Dual-Core E6700. do I understand correctly that this processor is capable of working with GA-945gm-S2 rev 1.0 due the above bios mod?
I'm tried to adapt this mod for rev 3.9, or rather, i investigated and found 3 changed bytes in 945gms2.bin, 1 changed byte in awardext.rom, 1 changed byte in awardeyt.rom and added microcode. Then I do the same changes with the original bios for rev 3.9 motherboard. The result is attached. Then flashed and ... got brick.
This is the first time I modify the BIOS and used awdbedit (ver 1.0 compiled on Apr 12.2004), cbrom V1.95, modbin6 (ver. 2.01.01) via dosbox (v 0.74-3). There was some tricks when used modbin6, becouse it itself did changes.
At this moment I restore bios by hardware programmer.
I have a purely curious interest, can anyone help?
What happend if flash bios image for rev 1.0 to rev 3.9?

I've deleted your link for bad firmware.
Make TXT-report of CPU-Z with your Pentium E6700 installed, zip and attach.
And make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
