I'm trying to install a Xeon x3430 on my GA P55 UD3 Revision 1 Gigabyte motherboard. According to its CPU support list the motherboard has support for the Xeon x3450 and x3480 since bios F8. I'm on bios F11 but when I install either one of my Xeon x3430 the board turns on but doesnt boot up. My none Xeon cpu works but these don't. Assuming my xeons aren't damaged I'm thinking my motherboard doesnt have the microcode specifically for the x3430. Is it possible to add the microcode to my motherboard like what modders do for 775 motherboards to get 771 xeons to work.

Ohh, the motherboard uses an Award bios. Thanks for the help.
Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with native CPU.
Give me the link to F11 BIOS.
Thanks for the response. Ill give you them later this afternoon, pacific time. Are there easy tools to use for this? I know lga 775 boards have relatively easy software to add microcode.
"easy tools to use for this"? Just use CPU-Z.

What's your graphics card?

Xfx rx 480 black edition
BIOS F11 has microcode for CPUID=0x106E5: version - 0x04, date - 04/05/2010. It's enough for Xeon X3430.
Try to disable internal graphics in BIOS before CPU swapping. Try to find a simple graphics card for test.
