Hello,

Could you please help me remove the whitelist for my BIOS? Here is my info:

-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model: Lenovo G580 (20157)
-BIOS Revision: 62CN97WW
-BIOS Link: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...7ww_64.exe
-BIOS Backup 1: https://www.sendspace.com/file/xvjsrz (results.rar)
-BIOS Backup 2: https://www.sendspace.com/file/0wm0cr (Universal BIOS Backup)

Please also tell me how should I write the new BIOS. Can I use Intel's FPT from Windows?

Will also donate. Thanks!

I get "Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access. Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers." I also tried running prr.exe separately and then flashing the bios, but still no luck. Is there anything else I could do? However, I donated. Ciao!
Try to Downgrade to previous verson to see if your Eerpom Chip will result unlocked !
Download this version modified, flashIt using InsydeFlash and then get again result
file for me so I can see if Chip is unlocked and I will prepare a ne Bios Mod based on
this version 5ecn96ww !

I get this error when I run InsydeFlash.exe: "IHISI: Get support mode error in SMI! SMI Return Code: 0xEF."

I have also tried flashing the latest BIOS again, with the utility that can be downloaded from the Lenovo support site here: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...7ww_64.exe and I get this error http://oi61.tinypic.com/1zg6pvq.jpg and after that I have access to the ExtractTemp folder as you can see here http://oi59.tinypic.com/2l9454y.jpg . This one seems to have access to write the bios. Is there a possibility to modify the 62CN97WW.cap file and trick the program into thinking it's a newer version of BIOS so that it will write it?

Or maybe this could work? https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recovery/...-recovery/

Thanks a lot!

No, the error I got (IHISI: Get support mode error in SMI! SMI Return Code: 0xEF.) was with the modified platform.ini you sent me. You can see here pic: http://oi58.tinypic.com/121v82c.jpg
