Post a screenshot of Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Hello DeathBringer, thank you for being available. This screenshot from my second DC7900sff. The other machine does not have an operating system, it is as an experiment to run zeon. So the bios version is different
Install compatible CPU in proper system and make new screenshot of Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Or make a photo of BIOS page with its version.
interesting situation. The BIOS started up and correctly detected the CPU, but at the same time all the fans are running at maximum speeds and there is an error in the microcode. The native processor was E8400 SLB9J. I can raplace it for bios information too
Extract U7F_0123.BIN from this mod and rename it to U7G_0123.BIN.
Install your Xeon.
Boot and update microcodes with this file and native flashbin.exe - https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51001-5...p51181.exe
U7G_0101.BIN should be deleted.
Show results.
Big Grin Fantastic! Now everything works as it should, the fans are at normal speeds and the microcode is written by version 1.23. Probably the main mistake I made was not installing the zeon x3363 processor when I was flashing the new microcode, I did it with the old E8400 processor. Thank you very much for your help, a very useful experience for me.Idea
Hello! I have almost the same issue, that Micke had, but in my case, I want to install a xeon x3353 into my dc7900. I've read the posts, and I tried to "update" my bios from 1.27 to 1.08, but I couldn't do that. Can you help me please?
