He guys,

Few weeks ago now i got a msi eclipse x58 mobo. With some help i got my xeon running in it. Just one last problem, it has the pretty well know uncore bug. Now i got some help here: https://www.win-raid.com/t7173f54-x-ecli...#msg125317
Yet I have not been able to figure out if i can solve the uncore problem. Since a update to the microcode should solve this issue, afther revision 13 it should be solved. At least that is what i have learned, and so far i got no reason to doubt that. Yet the new microcode is to long to inject onto my bios with mmtool. The old microcode is just 0x2000 long yet the new one is 0x2400 long. Now i have looked up how to trim with a hex editor but this seems impossible because the last 400 hex values do contain data (which is not the case for the 2000 long code, which has 400 empty values...). Could one of you help me out? ALso im not sure theĀ  bios would function with a different microcode size, maybe one of you know?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have included the bios and both microcode (extracted and given to me to help me out).
Use MMTool V3.x to add/replace microcode in this BIOS.
@deathbringer, is it not related to the microcode size? Since every time i try i get the error this is not a valid cpu micro code patch file. Does it need to have a certain name / folder etc? Or is this just not the correct file and were could i find a never microcode patch from a reputable source?

I'm really sorry but im really confused/frustrated with myself no matter how hard i try i keep getting errors...
The file with microcode wasn't selected on your screenshot.
Delete last microcode before inserting new one.

I just deleted the pathway but no it was selected i also deleted the older 206 in the other tries. I haven't changed the name of the micro code tried in the same folder other folder... Just everytime mmtool will spit out errors... I suppose i ll look for a download of mmtool 3.26. followed this guide in general: https://www.delidded.com/how-to-update-c...-ami-bios/ , but well i mean i was able to extract the microcode and i would not get an error if i did not select the patch. Also extracted the splash image (for fun). But just getting this code put in seems to error out every time. I know this looks stupid yet its just weird cant get it to accept the code.

Thanks to both of you for your time anyway!
@poekowaka
Look at what version i used of mmtool.
