Hello.
This notebook have Socket 939 CPU and ATI Radeon Xpress 200 + ATI SB400 chipset.
I had AMD 64 x2 on system but, cpu was not detected and after booting was run only 1 core, so i get back to original cpu. It will be possible to add support for x2 cpu and what will be nice for a DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY if is possible beacuse in this notebook is possible add system ram to video ram.
Here is link to original R4000 bios: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33698.exe

Can be this a donor BIOS? here is link to MB http://www.pcpartner.com/product_detail....201-076385&category_id=20051207134745-508850
here is link for bios, but is a .bin :/ http://www.pcpartner.com/support/bios_zip/pa58x.zip
file A1104IAG.bin is for MB with onboard graphics.

IF this can't be a donor please give me to know, and i will find another MB. Thank you
Has anyone looked into this?

Using a dual core CPU on this machine would really give it a nice boost. I could do background tasks seamlessly while working with actual software.
Install new CPU, boot in Windows and make TXT-report of CPU-Z.
Oh, I didn't expect such a fast reply. I guess I'll take the time to disassemble the laptop and install an X2 CPU. I happen to have a X2 4000+ from an old HP Slimline.

I'll generate a report with both CPUs
Well, the CPU I have is a socket AM2 and not a 939.

I guess I'll have to find a suitable X2 processor for my machine first.
Hello, I have an HP Pavilion zv6000 laptop that uses an RS480M chipset and takes 939 processors. Unfortunately, when I tried installing a dual core processor (Athlon 64 X2 4200+, E4 stepping, manchester core) it would only use one of 2 cores. I will attach the original BIOS ROM file (latest F.1C, 8/1/2006, Phoenix cME) and a picture of what CPU-Z says. The board is a Quanta 3085 specifically made for the zv6000 and r4000.

Post a screenshot of Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Alright, I have attached a mainboard screenshot and a CPU-Z TXT report in case that's needed too.
