The bios you give us camiloml doesnt work for me. Can you make it work?
I have a dv6 6151es
With that whole bunch of data you give me "doesn't work for me" i think i cannot make it work. Smile

Maybe if you tell me what you did with the file, what happend when you tried to do whatever you did and if it spit any error... then maybe... i can try to do anything.
Good day Camiloml,
Could I use this modded BIOS to switch between graphic cards (in extended menu)?
In standard BIOS there is no way of changing anything...
@hardreset

If the hardware is not prepared to do that then even changing the option unlocked in the bios it will not work, even more it can brick your lappy and make you pass bad time trying to recover it using a pendrive Smile

If your bios updater is sp55068 then you can try.
Thank you for warning and yes, I understand it could go wrong.
However the BIOS is sp55068 and my laptop is from DV7-61XXxx series.
I will give it a try and let you know my findings.

No need for that. If you bothered to lookup PowerXpress 4.0 aka BACON technology which is in your laptop you would have understood that all the video outputs [aka vga, hdmi and lvds] are only connected to the Intel HD3000. There is no mux to speak of and therefore switching to "single radeon" will only give you a black and bricked laptop.

@ petek:

I see, was indeed not aware of that.
Just looking for a way to boot the DV7 with forced HD3000 graphics.
Like to play around with OSX...
Every time I boot into the installer, I end up with black screen
