Try booting with everything unplugged except monitor. This includes unplugging the hardisks and cdroms.

If that doesnt work try an alternate method: Go to bios, reset to defaults, unplug before restart for 60 seconds, plug back in and boot. If this doesnt work try swapping out the CMOS battery.

I tried all of the above to no avail. Still the same message: Verifying DMI pool data ... It goes instantly to this message with seemingly no attempt to boot to any device.
Is there anyway to flash it over a network from a working computer?
No because there is no networks upport. Tthe only way to flash it again would be to hotswap the bios chip wit another computer. Tthis means you would boot a computer, remove the bios chip of booted computer while on and insert dead one with problem, flash that dead chip to bios you want, then before shutting of replace bios chips back in both computers.

Rergards,

Thanks for all your help.
No problem, are you going with this attempt or are you trying something else?

I would try it, but I don't have a second bios chip to hotswap with. So I'm going to try a bios flashing service. I need this up and running!
Wewll, if you choose that route, go to biosman.com and buy a chip with the bios you want already on it. If you get a 25 dollar chip with the bios on it, then you can boot the computer with the new bios chip you ordered, swap and flash the modded bios on the other chip, and then you will have your test bios chip and original bios chip to mess around with the unlocked version.

Hi,
I flashed the updated BIOS, everything seems to be ok.
I don't see an option for adjusting Vdimm.
Trying to upgrade to 800 mhz Ram rated for 2.2 volts, current setting is 1.8 per PC health screen.
Is there any way to raise the voltage to match RAM voltage?
How about RAM timings?
New RAM crashes almost immediately after boot.
Current RAM is PC 5300 1gb x 2
New RAM is PC6400 1gb x 4
Board is MCP61SM-AM
Thanks,
SS
Hi, TheWhiz
Does T180 R01-C0 Bios support slic 2.1.
If not, could you add it?
Or modify http://rapidshare.com/files/327308998/C61SV311_SLIC.ROM to overclock.
It would help a lot people out. Lots of cheap computers come with this "motherboard"
That bios is from HP but works fine in my moms acer.
Sorry its been so long on this, promise I should have something in the next day or so.
