Can't seem to get it attached to the forum, so I hope a dropbox link works:

The write protection errors are confusing, because I was able to flash from 1.07 to a modified 1.07. It's since going to 3.05 that I've been having issues flashing, so there must be something specific to 3.05.

Try this: IdeaPad_Y510P_74CN44WW_BACKUP_NWL_WishRyder

Look README to update. Please post results.
Looks like it failed to flash from DOS.

Also tried to flash in Windows with fptw64. Looked promising at first, but this was the end result:

Hi all,

I too have some wifi install issues with the Y510p.
I get theUnauthorized hardware error.
It came with a centrino N-2230 and i want to install a Intel Wireless-AC 7260.

Mine is a dutch version with BIOS 2.02, i already have a backup of the bios done with fptw64, but i cannot find a modded bios for 2.02.
I have a link for the file, i can PM it.

Can you guys help me?

Many Thanks.

Nevermind, all is fixed, just go to Techinferno Forums http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/...s-mod.html

There is also a fix for 3.05 there, just read the tread carefully.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't had time to keep up with the threads, and I would have missed the post in the TechInferno thread if you hadn't mentioned it.

Successfully downgraded to 2.07 and patched the whitelist.
Please help removing the whitelist on BIOS v3.05. Here's the file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/gmy4oc
