Some odd things going on here - I looked at all the different bios versions for this system available from Shuttle and noticed that between version 203 and 204 CPU support was added.

v203 - 52kb of microcode
v204 - 92kb of microcode!

then strangely enough for the latest v220 - 76.02kb of microcode

Seems that they actually dropped some CPU support in the latest version! :S - no idea why!

there is only another 17kb of free space in the v220 bios which means that the microcode cannot be more than 93kb total. Using Shuttles CPU Support finder , the boards that support the E7600 all have big microcode files , up to 205kb of microcode!!

Still looking....................

once again , the download has been updated , please try again!

Good luck! Smile

Hi all, first post here, stumbled across another thread on this forum while looking for 45nm CPU support for my SD37P2 v2. I would just like to say the work you are doing here is very good and will help many people extend the life of their systems.

I just wondered if anyone has tried the latest modded bios on their SD37P2 v2. I'm running at Q6600 G0 at 3GHz and a Radeon 6850 so I'm pretty happy but would love to be able to swap out the CPU for a 45nm version and maybe get a little more overclock out of it or at least reduce the heat!

Thanks.

PS. I would try it myself but I have no access to a 45nm CPU at the moment and I don't want to go out and buy one without knowing it will work obviously.
It has unfortunately not working again.

Thanks for the offered help.

Yesterday I returned the processor to the seller.

Will save money and buy myself a i7 system.
